Can you tell us about Ensemble Español and how being a part of it has shaped your life?
Ensemble Español has been a very important part of my life in terms of education, dance training and fundamental life skills. Starting at the age of 8 as part of their scholarship program, I grew up in this company.
What is compelling and invigorating about bringing people together?
When you bring a group of people together there is a flow of language, ideas, culture and beliefs that occurs in our daily lives and affects everything we do. I really believe as a society that we can come together when the essence of community and fraternity is established.
Why NEIU?
NEIU is a powerful educational institution because it allows a diverse group of people who otherwise could not afford an educational experience to have the option and ability to pursue one. Northeastern is a great school because not only does it provide dreams, but it provides the vehicle to achieve them.
